Located in the center of the village, alongside the "Les Loyers" ski slope, the Les Contamines childcare center offers specialized sections: a year-round nursery (crèche) and a section dedicated to the children of seasonal workers.
The tourist childcare service for young vacationers will not be operating during the 2026–2027 winter season.
For children aged 3 to 12, the "Le Refuge des Petits Montagnards" (Little Mountaineers' Refuge) leisure center provides care on Wednesdays throughout the year, as well as every day during school holidays for "Zone A." The leisure center is based on the premises of the Les Contamines-Montjoie school.

The seasonal workers' section: for the children of seasonal workers
The Les Contamines-Montjoie daycare center now offers a dedicated section for seasonal workers!
This section accommodates 8 children—ranging from 3 months old up to school age—during the winter season, and 4 children during the summer. Care is available 7 days a week in the winter and 5 days a week in the summer, providing flexibility tailored to the schedules of parents in seasonal jobs.
For local children who are already in school, the daycare offers daytime care on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and during school holidays, subject to space availability (for children up to 4 years old).
Children of seasonal workers employed in Les Contamines are given priority access to this section. Other children may also be accommodated, depending on available space. To register, please send your request to garderie@lescontamines.com or call 04 57 44 01 59.

"Le Refuge des Petits Montagnards" (The Little Mountaineers' Refuge) is a leisure center that welcomes your children on Wednesdays and during school holidays. It is located at the Alexis Bouvard elementary school, in the heart of the village of Les Contamines-Montjoie.
The leisure center opened its doors in 2025 for children aged 3 to 12.
