Village fair

Meet on Sunday July 28 in the village center to enjoy the festivities of this day dedicated to traditions, and to discover Les Contamines from yesterday to today.

Program of festivities:

- 10:30 a.m.: departure of the Festival floats parade in the Village, at the Pont des Loyers. Discover the different Contamines floats, folk groups and vintage cars!
- 11:30 a.m.: paragliding demonstration by the Joly Jumpers club
- 12 p.m.: demonstration of a vintage fire hose by the firefighters
- From 12:30 p.m. and throughout the afternoon: demonstration of folk dances, with the local group Les Verdasses, as well as Swiss and Italian groups.
- From 1:30 p.m.: verified activities around local heritage! Take part in games from yesteryear, a giant dictation with Miss Deschamps, former teacher at the Alexis Bouvard school, demonstration of ancient trades, climbing and land art workshop!
- 5 p.m.: draw for the Joly Jumpers raffle
- From 5:30 p.m., time for concerts with the groups:
*Moonlight Duo* (pop rock covers) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
*The Cave* (pop rock covers) from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

All day long :

- Musical performance of alphorn and harmonica
- “Alpine bestiary” ride
- Artisanal blacksmithing workshop
- Carpentry workshop with Bambins des Bois
- Local heritage discovery stand, with the MHP association
- Petanque games
- Mini farm, with village farmers
- Game to meet traders
- Craft market (nearly 50 stands)

Take advantage of the different food stands:

- Local specialties stands (bougnettes, stuffing, etc.)
- Sale of tartiflettes to take away
- Village Party Menus from village restaurateurs
- Refreshment bar run by the football club
- Food truck in the evening
