Nicolas showed talent as a young boy, on the podium several times at the French under 16 Championships. His promising results earned him a place on the regional team, the Committee Mont-Blanc, and a place on a special ski and study programme. Despite some health concerns, including back problems, Nicolas participated in his first World Cup in 2013 in Garmisch.
After some excellent results on the European Cup circuit, Nicolas integrated the World Cup Downhill Group in 2014. Since then he has participated in numerous World Cup events including the famous downhill races in Kvitfjell, Val Gardena, Kitzbuehel and Wengen.
