Presentaion of the Contamines/Hauteluce ski area

 

The ski area in les Contamines is situated between 1200m and 2500m altitude and offers various opportunities for different levels of skier/snowboarder. The resort boasts great sunshine and excellent natural snow conditions. Enjoy panoramic views from Mont-Blanc to the Beaufortain region.

The slopes wind down between glens and dales, wide runs, pine forests chalets and old farm buildings. The village nestles at the foot of Mont-Blanc, the higher slopes offering magnificent views, the lower areas offering tree-lined skiing.

The resort is part of the “Evasion Mont Blanc” ski area, 445 kms of slopes, 6 resorts in the Mont-Blanc region : Saint-Gervais, Megève, Saint Nicolas de Véroce, Combloux & La Giettaz.

The Contamines/Hauteluce ski area:

120 kilometres of slopes ranging from an altitude of 1164 metres to 2500 metres.
48 slopes : 8 green, 11 blue, 18 red and 9 black runs.
24 ski lifts : 4 cable cars, 8 chair lifts and 12 drag lifts.
A sunny exposition with varied skiing.
3 departure points: 2 in Les Contamines and one in Hauteluce (Savoie region).
Ski back to the village.
 

The ski slopes will be open from Friday 18th December 2009 until Friday 23rd April 2010 (+ weekends in December, snow conditions permitting).

SPECIAL OFFERS

  • Free ski passes for children under the age of 5 and adults over the age of 80.
  •  
  • Reductions for children age 5 to 14 and for adults age 60 to 80 years.
  • Proof of age is required in order to benefit from these reduced rates.

  • Family rates : reductions are available for families. Parents and two children under the age of 15 can enjoy reduced rates when they buy 4 Contamines/Hauteuce ski passes (minimum 6 consecutive days). These reductions do not apply to season passes.
  •  
  • Liberty ski pass : If you buy a non-nominative “Liberté” ski pass you can ski when you choose to throughout the season.

INSURANCE

Ski with peace of mind when you purchase “Carré Neige” insurance (1 to 15 days cover).

Child: 2,30€/day
Adult & senior: 2,70€/day

If you are a regular skier then we suggest you take out “Carte Neige” annual insurance cover.
Both options cover emergency first aid, evacuation, and a lift pass reimbursement policy.

 The creation of x-zones demonstrates the interest of the resort in new free-style skiing trends. These special areas are for the use of skiers & snowboarders in search of new sensations
