Mont Blanc Ultra Trail Tour
165km and a combined positive climb of 9400m in less than 46 hours. Departure from Chamonix, Friday 27th August at 18h30.
Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix (CCC) :
98km and a combined positive climb of 5600m in less than 26 hours. Departure from Courmayeur, Friday 27th August at 10h00.
TDS:
106 km and a combined positive climb of 6600m in less than 31 hours.
La Petite Trotte à Léon (PTL) :
2nd édition.
Race in teams of three. 245km and a combined positive climb of 21000m in less than 114 hours. Departure from Chamonix on 24th August.

L'UTMB races through les Contamines on the Friday evening. Come and encourage the athletes on their path from Les Hoches to the Balme mountain refuge hut. On-site entertainment.

Statistics
5000 athletes entered one of the 4 races of the 7the Edition of this event.
UTMB® : 2286 athletes, 179 women.
1383 athletes (101 women) finished the race (6% more than in 2008)).
CCC® : 1866 athletes, 235 women.
68% finished the race (1266 athletes, 146 women).
Sur les Traces des Ducs de SavoiDS) : 632 athletes, 88 women. 480 competitors, 58 women finished the race.
La Petite Trotte à Léon : A 240km raid and a combined positive climb of 17 500 m.
55 teams entered the 2nd edition of this race. 81 competitors (19 teams) completed the course, 10 women and 2 female teams.
Anti-doping
2800 athletes signed the anti-drug chart before the race.
32 blood tests were taken amongst those that signed. The results were available before the departure of the race to the entire satisfation of the medical services.
Approximately ten urine samples were taken at the finish line. The fisrt five male and the fist five female athletes were automatically tested, 2 of which gave a blood sample. Results will be made available by the federation FFA.
Medical Research
In collaboration with ENSA in Chamonix, university medical research was caried out in the aim to understand phases of fatigue and recovery during such extreme effort.
Volunteers
In 2009, 1628 volunteers were present along the course, 22% more than in 2008.
